Start in Isfahan and marvel at the Naghsh-e-Jahan square before navigating the beauty of the Grand Bazaar, then travel to Shiraz, the city of roses and nightingales with a visit to the ancient city of Persians, Persepolis. During a drive between Isfahan and Shiraz, you will enjoy the scenic variety with barren plateaus, fertile valleys and high mountain ranges. Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Isfahan
Today you will make your own way to your selected gateway Airport for your international flight to Isfahan, Iran. Embark on an inspirational journey through Persia and discover this country’s deep and rich history and archaeological wonders. Upon Arrival at Isfahan International Airport, you will meet your local guide and be transferred to your hotel. You will have time to refresh before embarking on a city tour of Isfahan on the next day. Overnight: Isfahan
Day 2: Isfahan Sightseeing
The first day of your tour is devoted to the exploration of the most glorious city of Iran, Isfahan. Following breakfast, your guide leads you for a fascinating sightseeing tour around the most brilliant attractions of Isfahan historical sites. Immerse in Isfahan sophisticated charms and discover the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Naghshe-e-Jahan Square, the world’s second-largest one with four more amazing iconic landmarks at different sides: the Grand Bazaar, the iconic Shah Mosque, the exquisite Sheikh Lotfollah Mosqueand Ali Qapu Palace. In the evening, you can head out to wander around the two bridges of Zayande Roud River (Si-o-Se Pol Bridge and Khaju Bridge) that are the ideal meeting points for the locals. After this exciting day in Isfahan, which marks the end of today's tour, you will be driven safely back to the hotel. Overnight: Isfahan Meals: Breakfast , Dinner
Day 3: Isfahan Sightseeing
After breakfast, you meet your tour guide at the hotel lobby and go on a guided city tour of the magnificent Isfahan located in the lush plain of the Zayande Rud River. This beautiful city was the 17th-century capital of the Safavid Dynasty. Today you start your exploration of the city with visiting Chehel Sotoun Palace (UNESCO World Heritage Site); Shah Abbas, the great king of the Safavid dynasty, built this graceful pavilion in the 17th century for entertainment and court receptions. Next, after a short break for tea and some sweets in the most beautiful Traditional Teahouse of Isfahan, you take a relaxing walk through the Isfahan Grand Bazaar and explore elaborate conventional Persian handicrafts, artworks, and lovely souvenirs of the city. For dinner tonight, you dine at Shahrzad that is an award-winning restaurant and one of the most popular ones in the city. It is a perfect setting for ordering one of the most favourite Iranian dishes, Fesenjan, Persian chicken stew made with chicken breasts or thighs, slowly cooked with walnuts and pomegranate molasses. After this delightful evening well spent, either return to your accommodation or continue to explore the city independently. Overnight: Isfahan Meals: Breakfast , Dinner
Day 4: Isfahan to Shiraz
After a pleasant breakfast, you will leave the city of Isfahan behind as you head out of the city on an eight-hour drive to Shiraz. This memorable day takes you first to one of the oldest Persian capital cities, the ancient Pasargadae (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the first capital city of the Achaemenid Empire that was founded by Cyrus, the Great King of the Achaemenes in the 6th century BC. Your guide will take you around and show you the architectural details of the Tomb of Cyrus and the ruins of the first palace complex of the Persians. After admiring today's highlights, you will continue driving to Shiraz and stay at your hotel for one night. Overnight: Shiraz Meals: Breakfast , Dinner
Day 5: Shiraz Sightseeing
This fantastic day takes you first to three astonishing Persian iconic highlights. Your guide will lead you through 2500 years of Persian history Persepolis (UNESCO World Heritage Site) that was once the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. Darius the Great founded this palatial complex in the 6th century BC. You can pass through all palaces there in Persepolis and immerse yourself in millennia of history and the tunnel of time. Later you proceed to Naghshe Rostam, where you wonder the ancient Achaemenid Necropolis and Sassanian Rock Reliefs. Then, you move to Shiraz, this most elegant city, to visit the Quran Gate. Next is the visit to the Tomb of the Persian Mystic Poet Hafez with its beautiful gardens. After that, you will have time to explore and shop in the bustling Vakil Bazaar. The afternoon continues with discovering the colorfully decorated Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque (the Pink Mosque), where sunlight streaming through its extensive colored glasses and windows. Time permitting, the rest of the afternoon a visit to Hamzeh Shrine, a revered Shia shrine noted for the glittering mirror work adorning its central dome. After admiring the landmarks of Shiraz, you will be transferred to the Shiraz international airport for your return flight home. Overnight: No Accommodation Meals: Breakfast , Dinner
Day 6: Depart for Home
